Ah, Indiana – the land of basketball, corn, and… hiking? That’s right! Despite its reputation as a flat state, Indiana actually boasts some stunning natural landscapes perfect for exploring on foot. I’ve spent years exploring the various trails around Indianapolis, and these are the eight hikes and trails I recommend most highly.

    One of the most popular and picturesque trails in the Indianapolis area, Eagle Creek boasts stunning views of the reservoir and plenty of opportunities for wildlife spotting. You can choose from a variety of trail lengths and difficulties, but I recommend the red trail for a moderate 3.3-mile hike.
